Andrew Turnbull is an associate at Pregent Law, where his practice focuses primarily on employment litigation and general civil litigation. He represents employees in matters involving discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage-and-hour violations, whistleblower retaliation, and employment contract disputes. He also represents small businesses in employment-related defense matters. Andrew is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Massachusetts.

Andrew’s practice includes litigation in court and representation before administrative agencies, including the Massachusetts Civil Service Commission, the Department of Unemployment Assistance, the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, and the Division of Administrative Law Appeals. He has experience handling matters from the initial client consultation and pre-suit settlement negotiations through pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.

Before joining Pregent Law in July 2026, Andrew represented healthcare providers in complex civil litigation and assisted with matters throughout all phases of the litigation process. Earlier in his legal career, he worked at a boutique litigation firm, where he represented employees and small businesses in employment disputes and other civil matters.

During law school, Andrew served as a Rule 3:03 certified student prosecutor with the Essex County District Attorney’s Office. In that role, he tried cases, argued contested motions, negotiated case resolutions, and regularly appeared before the District Court. Andrew also served as a judicial intern to the Honorable William G. Young of the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. There, he conducted legal research and drafted bench memoranda and proposed opinions addressing motions to dismiss, summary judgment, class certification, and other complex civil matters.

Before attending law school, Andrew worked as a paralegal in the Consumer Protection Division of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office. He investigated consumer complaints, analyzed evidence, assisted with discovery and trial preparation, and mediated disputes between consumers and businesses.
