Those seeking Massachusetts employment could benefit from a new Pay Transparency Law that is likely to pass in the near future. If passed, the law will go into effect one year from the date it is signed and would add Massachusetts to a list of growing states requiring larger employers to include pay ranges in job posting and to report on wage data. As it currently stands, the Massachusetts Pay Transparency law states that employers with at least 25 employees would be expected to report a salary range with job postings. Additionally, employers with at least 100 employees will be required to report annual employment demographics.
Pregent Law looks forward to following this exciting new legislation and the potential it brings for greater pay equity. I provide a wide range of employment law services including contract disputes, unlawful termination, discrimination, harassment, and more.
